Ambassador of Belarus in Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa
Andrei N. Metelitsa was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on November 19, 2020. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Director-General for Treaty and Legal Affairs of the MFA in Minsk since 2016.
Andrei Metelitsa joined the diplomatic service in 1999 and since that time he held several positions in the General Directorate of Treaties and Legal Affairs of the MFA in Minsk, as well as in Belarus’s missions abroad. He was posted at the Embassy of Belarus to Serbia in Belgrade in 2011-2015, at the Permanent Mission of Belarus to the United Nations in New York between 2005 and to 2009 and in OSCE Mission in Kosovo in 1999-2001.
Before joining the diplomatic service, he worked as a legal adviser in the Ministry of External Economic Relations of Belarus in 1998.
He graduated with honours from the Law Faculty of the Belarusian State University in Minsk in 1998 and after graduation had several professional training courses in Belarusian and foreign educational institutions.
Andrei Metelitsa speaks English, German and Serbian.
He is married and has a son.
