About the reception in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

On July 3, 2024 in Islamabad the Embassy held a reception in honor of the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus (Republic Day), the 80th Anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Pakistan.

The event was attended by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich, Federal Minister of Industry and Production of Pakistan Rana Tanveer Hussain, as well as heads and staff of ministries and departments, deputies of the National Assembly of Pakistan, heads and staff of foreign diplomatic missions, representatives of business circles.

In his speech, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich said: «July 3 is a holy and symbolic date in the history of the Belarusian people. 80 years ago, the city of Minsk was liberated from the Nazi invaders. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening sustainable friendly partnership with Pakistan in all spheres».

 

The guests were presented a photo exposition «Belarus Sovereign», a photo exhibition «Belarus Invincible», video presentations of a number of Belarusian enterprises, as well as a corner with Belarusian sweets.

At the end of the official part of the reception the protocol procedure of cake cutting was held.
