On the visit of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Pakistan

On November 25-27, 2024, President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko paid an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The Head of State held talks with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The Belarusian leader met with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan Muslim League-N party leader Nawaz Sharif, Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir.

During the meetings with the Prime Minister of Pakistan in both narrow and extended formats, the parties discussed topical issues of cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan, including in political, economic and other areas of mutual interest, as well as further steps towards the realization of joint projects.

The Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Republic of Belarus 2025-2027 and 14 other international documents were signed as a result of the talks.

During the meeting with Nawaz Sharif, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-N political party, it was noted that the bilateral relations are based on a long-standing solid base of trusting contacts. The parties emphasized the friendly nature of the Belarusian-Pakistani ties, the focus on their further strengthening and development.

At the meeting with the Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir, the sides discussed issues related to the development of military and military-technical cooperation.
