First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus meets the Federal Minister of Commerce and the Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs of Pakistan
03.07.2024On July 3, 2024, as part of the 6th round of political consultations in Pakistan, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Lukashevich held meetings with Federal Minister of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Jam Kamal Khan and Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs Kazim Niaz.
During the meeting with the Federal Minister of Commerce, who is the co-chairman of the bilateral Intergovernmental Commission, the interaction between Belarus and Pakistan in the field of trade and economic cooperation, industry and agriculture, and the banking sector was discussed. An agreement has been reached to intensify work on agreeing on a Roadmap for increasing mutual trade turnover for the period 2025-2027.
During the meeting with the Secretary Ministry of Economic Affairs, topical issues of expanding bilateral trade and economic partnership between the countries were discussed.
The Sides discussed the implementation of the Protocol of the 6th meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, held in Minsk in January 2023, the dates of the next meeting, and also confirmed their interest in intensifying contacts between business circles and the leadership of the regions of the two countries.
