First Deputy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus takes part in the 7th meeting of the JMC in Pakistan

On September 24, 2024 Islamabad (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) hosted the seventh Meeting of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation chaired by the Minister of Energy of Belarus, Alexei Kushnarenko, and the Minister of Commerce of Pakistan, Jam Kamal Khan. The First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Sergey Lukashevich, is also taking part in the event.

In his statement, Sergey Lukashevich emphasised the special significance of the event in the run-up to the bilateral meetings at the high and highest levels this year.

About 50 representatives of Belarusian and Pakistani ministries, agencies and organisations attend the meeting of the Commission. The agenda includes a wide range of issues in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as upcoming business events.

As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding between the concern «Bellegprom» of the Republic of Belarus and Ministry of Commerce of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on cooperation in the field of textile industry was signed.
