President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Shahbaz Sharif's election as Prime Minister of Pakistan

On March 6, 2024, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on his election as Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as well as on the successful conduct of the election campaign and the formation of the Government of Pakistan.

«I wish You to realize all plans and for the sake of continued development of your beautiful country, to meet the needs of the Pakistani society. I am convinced that cooperation with Minsk will contribute to this. Islamabad has been our reliable partner for 30 years. I am pleased to note that the governments of Belarus and Pakistan are faithfully implement the agreement on intensifying bilateral ties, which we reached during our personal meetings in Samarkand and Astana in 2022», the message reads.

A session of the Belarus-Pakistan Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation took place in Minsk in 2023, an official visit of the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs to Islamabad and other bilateral events also took place last year.

«I confirm the readiness to visit Pakistan this year. I am convinced that our meeting will contribute to the advancement of interaction in manufacturing sector, pharmaceutics, agriculture, petrochemistry, electric transport, education, science and technologies», the Head of State stressed.

The Head of the Belarusian State Alexander Lukashenko wished Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif strong health and success in his responsible state post, as well as peace and prosperity to the people of Pakistan.
