The visit of the Prime Minister of Belarus to Pakistan

On October 15-16, 2024, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Roman Golovchenko visited the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who took part in the 23rd Meeting of SCO Council of Heads of Government.

In his speech at the meeting of the SCO, Roman Golovchenko informed on the position of Belarus on topical regional and global issues that are on the SCO agenda, informed about the priorities of Belarusian participation in the Organization's events in 2025 and in the future.

In addition, the Prime Minister of Belarus held meetings with the head of the Government of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif and a meeting with the Commander of the Chief of the Army Staff of Pakistan Asim Munir.

At the meeting with the Prime Minister of Pakistan, topical issues of bilateral cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan, including in political, economic and other areas of mutual interest, as well as promising areas of further cooperation were discussed.

The Sides discussed cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan in the field of trade and economic cooperation, industry and agriculture, and the banking sector. A roadmap for comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Pakistan for the next three years has been agreed.

During the meeting, the parties confirmed the friendly nature of the Belarusian-Pakistani relations, the focus on their further strengthening and development, and confirmed their interest in intensifying work on mutually beneficial joint projects.
