On March 4, 2024, the Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Belarus and on his own behalf, sincerely congratulated Shahbaz Sharif on his election to the post of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

«I am confident that Your credibility and rich experience in state activities will contribute to the successful socio-economic development of the country, as well as to expand mutually beneficial partnership between Minsk and Islamаbad», the message reads.

The Government of Belarus is ready to work together with the Government of Pakistan on enhancing bilateral ties in the fields of industries, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, science and education, as well as in the military-technical sphere.

«I hope that the implementation of the measures enshrined in 2023 in the Minutes of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation and in the draft Road Map to increase trade turnover between Belarus and Pakistan until 2025 will make a significant contribution to the implementation of bilateral initiatives», the Prime Minister noted.

The visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Islamabad this year in accordance with Your invitation will be an important step towards further increasing the level of interaction and expanding ties between the business circles of both countries.
