Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Metelitsa attends the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People

On April 17, 2026, H.E. Mr. Andrei Metelitsa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Genocide of the Soviet People committed by the Nazis and their collaborators during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The event was organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Pakistan at the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA).

The ceremony was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries and several friendly states, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, the National Heritage and Culture Division, as well as members of the Pakistani academic community.

The exhibition aims to honor the memory of Soviet citizens who perished at the hands of Nazi invaders and emphasizes the decisive role of the fraternal peoples of the CIS member states in the defeat of Nazism, which ensured the stable and independent development of the Eurasian continent.
