Reciprocal official visit of the Prime Minister of Pakistan to Belarus
11.04.2025On April 10-11, 2025, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif paid an official return visit to the Republic of Belarus.
The first day of the visit was spent in an informal atmosphere. As a sign of special favor, the two leaders met in a warm and friendly atmosphere and in a homely atmosphere. Shahbaz Sharif arrived for the meeting with his family. President of the Pakistan Muslim League, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, his son Hasan Nawaz and his daughter — Chief Minister of Punjab province Maryam Nawaz — also visited the Belarusian leader.
The leaders agreed that the focus of interaction will be on further development of trade and economic cooperation, including in the areas of industry and food security, strengthening humanitarian ties.
On the same day, Minsk hosted the Belarusian-Pakistani Business Council in the format of a business forum, during which eight contracts were signed. As a result of the business forum, supplies of various products, including rice and tangerines, pharmaceutical and textile products, sporting goods, clothing and footwear to Belarus are expected to grow.
On April 11, the Head of State held official talks with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif in a narrow and broad format.
The talks between Belarus and Pakistan resulted in the signing of ten international documents.
While talking to journalists, the Head of State noted that the talks were held in a warm and absolutely trusting and friendly atmosphere. The leaders of the two countries discussed a wide range of issues, exchanged views on international and regional problems.
After the talks, Alexander Lukashenko and Shahbaz Sharif took part in a traditional ceremony and planted a tree in the Alley of Honored Guests at the Palace of Independence. President of the Pakistan Muslim League, former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif was with the leaders of the two countries.
