Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus M.Ryzhenkov meets the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan

25.11.2024

On November 25, 2024 the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held talks in Islamabad.

During the meeting, the Belarusian Foreign Minister discussed with his Pakistani counterpart a wide range of issues on the bilateral agenda and cooperation in the international arena.

M.Ryzhenkov noted the intensity of the Belarusian-Pakistani interaction: in less than six months since the meeting between President of Belarus A.Lukashenko and Prime Minister of Pakistan Sh. Sharif on the margins of the SCO summit in Astana, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and a meeting of the Joint Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation have been held. In October 2024, Prime Minister of Belarus visited Islamabad and held talks with his Pakistani counterpart.

The Minister thanked the Pakistani side for the constructive joint work in preparation for the visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus to Pakistan. The Minister noted that a representative business forum was being held in the Pakistani capital, while the heads of Belarusian Ministries — members of the official delegation — were holding talks with their Pakistani counterparts.

The parties discussed the agenda of the high-level events, as well as the bilateral documents to be signed, and agreed to coordinate joint work to facilitate the effective implementation of the agreements to be reached during the upcoming visit
