Ambassador Andrei Metelitsa met with Pakistan MOFA’s Director General (Europe-II) Rabia Shafiq

On February 16, 2021 Ambassador Andrei Metelitsa met with Mdm. Rabia Shafiq, Director General (Europe-II) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.

During the conversation the interlocutors discussed the topical issues of bilateral agenda, including the 6th Session of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, subject meetings of the bilateral working groups and the 5th round of consultations between Foreign Ministries, as an important part in preparation for Prime Minister Imran Khan’s visit to Minsk in accordance with the invitation extended by the Head of
the Belarusian State.

In addition, the possibilities to expand the legal framework of cooperation by signing a number of documents at the mentioned bilateral events were analyzed.
The Sides outlined specific steps which they are ready to take in order to intensify the dynamics of bilateral cooperation.

The interlocutors agreed on the importance of using the tools of economic diplomacy to strengthen the entire spectrum of relations between both our nations.
