Belarus opens its national stand at ITIF-2021

On November 16 – 18 representatives of the leading Belarusian industrial enterprises and organizations of the National Academy of Science of and the State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus, under the auspices of the National Center for Marketing, take part in the international industrial exhibition ITIF-2021.
The event takes place in the capital of Sindh province, Karachi, which is the largest economic center of Pakistan. In the Conventional Hall of the PC Hotel Karachi, the National Stand of the Republic of Belarus has been opened. Automotive, chemical and pulp industries as well as advanced developments in the scientific field of Belarusian enterprises and organizations are presented there.

In particular, the event is attended by Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ), NAFTAN, Polotsk-Fiberglass, Belshina, Khimvolokno Plant Branch of Grodno Azot, Belneftekhim Concern, Svetlogorsk Pulp&Board Mill, Belarusian Institute of System Analysis, scientific divisions of BSTU, BSU and BSUIR, as well as divisions of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus — “Scientific and Practical Center for Materials Science” and “Physics and Technology Institute”.

At the same time, BelIndTravel presents to visitors the tourism services provided to foreigners in Belarus.
The national exposition on the sidelines of the ITIF-2021 is a logical continuation of the agreements reached during the negotiations between the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. Their meeting was held on the sidelines of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Dushanbe on September 16, 2021. In addition, this event is one of the important preparatory events for the visit of Imran Khan to Belarus in 2022.

Attending the opening ceremony were: Ambassador of Belarus Andrei Metelitsa; Governor of Sindh, Imran Ismail, Heads of various CCI and Belarusian delegates.
The participation of Belarus in ITIF-2021 will serve as a powerful incentive for further strengthening and developing trade and economic ties between countries in various fields and will contribute to the growth of Belarusian exports and services to the Pakistani market.

 On November 17, 2021, on the sidelines of the ITIF-2021 industrial exhibition, the Belarusian-Pakistani business forum is held, in which the Advisor to the Prime Minister of Pakistan to the Commerce and Investment, Co-chairman of the Joint Belarusian-Pakistani Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation Abdul Razak Dawood, Vice-president of FPCCI, Hanif Lakhany, as well as leading Pakistani businessmen.
During the Forum, leading Belarusian industrial enterprises and scientific institutions of Belarus presented brands from Belarus to a wide Pakistani audience, and also held B2B negotiations in the context of strengthening business cooperation between countries. In particular, on the eve of the opening of the Forum, the leading universities (BSU, BSTU and BSUIR) of Belarus signed MOUs with Iqra University on cooperation in the field of science and education.
