Belarus and Pakistan discuss options for closer cooperation in the areas of tourism and sports

Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Ermolovich met with Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination of Pakistan Fehmida Mirza on January 29, 2020.


The interlocutors discussed issues of the development of Belarusian-Pakistani cooperation in the fields of tourism and sports.
The Minister was invited to visit our country in 2020. In this regard,
the Pakistani side expressed interest in studying the Belarusian experience of administrative and legal regulation of the areas of tourism and sports. The high officials of Pakistan are also interested in familiarizing with Belarusian relevant infrastructure.
At the meeting the interlocutors also paid special attention to the draft Memorandum on cooperation in the field of tourism – a document which creates a legal basis for the development of cooperation in this direction. Fehmida Mirza proposed to draw a joint action plan between the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of Belarus and the Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination of Pakistan.
The Pakistani side showed interest in establishing bilateral cooperation in the field of sports as well. In this regard, the Ambassador handled to
the Pakistani Minister a list of the main international sporting events planned in Belarus for 2020 and information about Belarusian sports complexes and organizations which are ready to provide their platforms to train Pakistani teams for international competitions.
