On the meeting with the NDMA Chairman

On January 13, 2020 Ambassador of Belarus to Pakistan met with the Chairman of the National Disaster Management Authority of Pakistan Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal.

Topical issues of bilateral cooperation between the rescue services of the two countries were discussed. In particular the Chairman of the NDMA expressed an interest to pay an official visit to Belarus in order to get acquainted with the activities of the Ministry of the Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus, the base of educational institutions for the training of rescuers and emergency equipment manufactured in Belarus.

A separate topic of discussion was the course of consideration by the Pakistani Side of the draft Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies, which will lay the foundation stone for cooperation in this field between the relevant institutions of Belarus and Pakistan.
